Digital Finance Business Analyst

About the Role
The Digital Finance Business Analyst supports the development and delivery of data and analytics products within the Digital Finance team, part of FP&A. The role exists to enable standardized, data‑driven finance processes across Lonza’s global CDMO sites by driving the digitalization of Finance. Acting as a bridge between finance teams and technical systems, this role designs and delivers Power BI solutions using SAP ERP Finance and Controlling (FICO) data to support site‑level financial operations, performance management, and decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with site finance teams, controllers, and global process owners to gather reporting requirements and translate them into intuitive Power BI solutions
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports focused on site finance operations, cost management, and performance tracking
- Build and maintain robust data models and analytical solutions using data sourced from SAP ERP FI and CO modules
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders
- Automate repetitive finance processes using Power Automate, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort
- Support finance users by providing training, documentation, and ongoing assistance to maximize report adoption and data literacy
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating underlying SAP data and report logic
- Contribute to continuous improvement of digital finance solutions, standards, and best practices
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in finance analytics, reporting, or business analysis roles
- Strong exposure to enterprise finance systems and data‑driven decision support
Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and report publishing
- Deep understanding of SAP ERP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) processes and underlying SAP table structures
- Solid knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business and finance users
- Experience with SQL, advanced Excel, and other analytical tools is an advantage
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is desirable
