About the Role
This hybrid role is key to our transition to a fully integrated newsroom. You'll produce for both digital and broadcast platforms, while helping lead our digital-first strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute digital content strategies for web, mobile and social platforms
• Champion a multi-platform newsroom model through leadership and example
• Drive audience engagement by managing and growing our social media presence
• Pitch original, on-brand stories in daily editorial meetings
• Shoot, write, edit and produce compelling content for broadcast and digital use
• Write clean, accurate web copy using AP style
• Build digital campaigns that promote station projects and special coverage
• Collaborate with anchors, producers and reporters to shape daily news coverage
• Balance breaking news with enterprise storytelling
• Monitor and post timely updates and video content to digital channels
• Represent the station positively in online viewer interactions
• Stay calm under pressure and adjust quickly to breaking news scenarios

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong writing and editing skills with fluency in AP style
• Experience with web CMS, social media management and digital publishing
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, basic HTML and video editing preferred
• Prior experience in a newsroom or fast-paced content environment
• Organized, collaborative and comfortable working across departments
• Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
