seeking an experienced Truck Technician to join our teams in Waterman and DeKalb. This role provides consistent full-time hours in a well-maintained, organized shop environment, with occasional field service responsibilities.
Position Overview
As a Truck Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety. You’ll work with a variety of systems and equipment while using modern diagnostic technology to accurately identify and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and trailers
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical system issues using diagnostic tools
Complete repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, HVAC, and electrical components
Safely operate shop equipment including lifts, pneumatic tools, welders, and other machinery
Clearly document all diagnostics, repairs, and service findings
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience or completion of formal mechanical training program
Prior experience as a diesel or heavy-duty truck technician preferred
Ability to use diagnostic software and tools confidently
Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus)
ASE certifications are beneficial but not required
Must provide own hand tools
