**NW Industrial Staffing **is recruiting a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice with their own tools for a family-owned sawmill to work under a Senior Mechanic and take over when he retires:

JOB DUTIES WORKING W/SENIOR MECHANIC

* Assist with inspections, repairs and overhauls of diesel engines such as forklifts, log loaders, shovels, etc.

* Perform basic maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements and lubrication

* Inspect vehicles and equipment for wear, leaks, or damage

* Clean and prepare parts for repair or replacement

* Use diagnostic tools to identify issues

* Help troubleshoot engine, transmission and brake system problems

* Learn to read and interpret service manuals and schematics

* Assist with electrical system repairs such as batteries, wiring and starters, etc.

* Replace worn components like belts, hoses and fuel systems

SHOP RESPONSIBILITIES

* Keep tools, equipment and workspace clean and organized

* Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear

* Maintain records of work performed

* Help manage inventory (parts, fluids, supplies)

JOB DETAILS

* Location: Cottage Grove, OR

* Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

* $25.00/hr ++

* Pre-placement background check and drug screen NOT including THC
