Die Setter – Automotive Manufacturing

Locations: Victor, IA & Montezuma, IA

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $28.06–$30.26/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Die Setters to support automotive manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for die changes, press setup, tooling adjustments, and first-piece inspection to ensure safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform die changes and complete stamping press setups.
  • Install, align, and adjust dies in production presses.
  • Set up feeders, dereelers, guides, fixtures, and related equipment.
  • Run and inspect first-off parts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot basic press, tooling, and production issues.
  • Inspect dies and identify tooling requiring maintenance or repair.
  • Maintain accurate production and setup records.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Previous Die Setter, Press Setup, Metal Stamping, Tool & Die, or similar manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with stamping presses; progressive or transfer dies strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read setup/work instructions and use measuring equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy dies, presses, and moving equipment.

Available Shifts

  • Montezuma – B Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 6:30 PM–4:30 AM
  • Montezuma – C Shift: Friday–Saturday, 6:30 PM–4:30 AM & Sunday–Monday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • Victor – 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
  • Victor – 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

Ideal candidates: Die Setters or Press Setup Technicians with hands-on experience in automotive/metal stamping, die changeovers, progressive/transfer dies, feeders, and first-piece inspection.
