Die Repairman – Automotive Tool RoomShift: 2nd or 3rd ShiftJob Type: Full-TimeWe are looking for an experienced Die Repairman to join our tool room team. The ideal candidate has a strong background troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Class A and Class B automotive stamping dies and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a hands-on position for someone who can diagnose die issues, make repairs efficiently, and help keep production running.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain Class A and Class B automotive stamping dies.Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled die maintenance.Diagnose die-related production issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments.Tear down, inspect, repair, and rebuild dies as needed.Work closely with production and engineering to resolve tooling problems.Perform die modifications, fitting, grinding, welding, and bench work as required.Maintain tooling to ensure quality, repeatability, and production efficiency.Use precision measuring equipment to inspect components and verify repairs.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tool room and work area.Follow all company safety and quality procedures.QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining automotive stamping dies.Experience working with Class A and Class B automotive dies strongly preferred.Previous experience working in an automotive tool room.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret die prints, blueprints, and technical drawings.Experience with common tool-room equipment and hand tools.Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs based on production needs.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift is required.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a skilled, hands-on die repair professional who can walk into a tooling problem, identify the root cause, and get the die back into production.
