Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Repair Tool Room Technician to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is essential for ensuring the efficiency and quality of our die casting operations. If you have a passion for precision and working with your hands, we want to hear from you!

Shift Schedule: 1st 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and repair of tools, dies, and molds to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints to accurately execute repairs and modifications.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking maintenance schedules and reporting on tool performance.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as required.
• Maintain tooling inventory and spare components.
• Create PO requisition for needed supplies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool, die, and mold setup and repair.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
• High pressure die casting experience required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience required.
