Die Repair / Tool & Die Maker

Location: Deroit, MI

Pay: $35–$40 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Multiple Shifts Available

We are hiring experienced Tool & Die Makers and Die Repair Technicians for an automotive metal stamping facility in Detroit, MI.

This is a hands-on position working with stamping dies, performing repairs, troubleshooting tooling problems, and keeping production running.

Responsibilities:

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot stamping dies

• Perform in-press die repairs and adjustments

• Grind, weld, fit, and replace tooling components

• Troubleshoot die problems during production

• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with die tryouts

• Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

• Work with tool room and production teams

Qualifications:

• Experience in tool and die making, die repair, or toolmaking

• Experience with metal stamping dies preferred

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and tooling issues

• Experience with grinding, fitting, and die adjustments

• In-press repair experience preferred

• Progressive die or Class A die experience is a plus

Pay: $35–$40/hour, based on experience.
