Die Repair Technician

2nd or 3rd Shift

$25-45/hour

Position Summary:

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in the Cottage Grover, WI area who is seeking a Die Repair Technician who will diagnose and troubleshoot die cast dies that are not operating to design specifications. Perform minor die modifications and adjustments to ensure parts meet print requirements. Disassemble and reassemble casting dies while conducting routine, preventive, and scheduled maintenance to maintain optimal performance and production quality.

Must Haves:

• 1+ years of (die/diecast/molding/tooling) experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate ejector pin grinding equipment, hydraulic cavity extraction systems, and hydraulic power units to support final inspection and verification of hydraulic cylinder setups.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area to promote efficiency and compliance with workplace standards.

• Assemble and install die-casting dies to meet production and quality requirements.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot die performance issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.

• Perform on-machine die repairs and adjustments to restore functionality and support continuous production.

• Generate maintenance work requisitions for die-related repairs, including hydraulic cylinder servicing, electrical repairs, and maintenance equipment issues.

• Interpret product, die-cast, and trim die blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers to verify specifications and tolerances.
