Overview
We are hiring 6 Die Makers. This is for a ground up design and build shop for large OEMs. As a Die Maker, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, creating high-quality dies that meet our production standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate dies for various manufacturing processes.
- Set up and operate machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Cut, shape, assemble, spot, and draw dies
- Shim, file, weld, polish, and understand tight tolerances
- Inspect and test dies to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize die designs.
- Maintain and repair existing dies to extend their lifespan and functionality.
- Document processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a Die Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
You should be proficient in:
- Metal Stamping & Forming (Progressive Die)
- CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
- Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
- Blueprint Reading
