**Job Title: Die Maintenance Skilled Trade

**

**Position Summary

**

Maintains all aspects of the dies to ensure the quality of cast components.

**Position Responsibilities

**

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

• Lifts using hoist or crane.

• Cleans dies using pressure washer.

• Polishes grinds, and finish core insert.

• Welds.

• Brazes.

• Measures die parts using metric scale.

• Performs layout according to design specifications.

• Disassembles and assembles die parts.

• Fits die using handwork technique.

• Uses pipe threader to cut and thread pipe.

• Wires limit switches.

• Applies Sparktron coding.

• Completes daily reports of all die repair content.

• Completes Preventative Maintenance check sheet.

• Fabricates any needed items.

• Operates milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.

• Other duties may be assigned.

**Beneficial Skills and Experience

**

• Die Maintenance experience

• Welding experience

**Education/Training/Certifications

**

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or two (2) to four (4) years experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
