Job Overview:

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform job duties and conduct self in accordance with Allen Press, Inc. team values in alignment with Company’s Mission.
  2. Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by reporting any actual or potential hazards to the Safety Coordinator, the Safety Committee, or senior management.  
  3. Utilize Quality Improvement /Lean practices to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and exceed customer expectations.  Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Makes ready machine to approvable standard with little to no supervision.
  5. Calculates and determines the amount of foil needed for each job.
  6. Determines make ready process for various substrates.
  7. Starts up and runs at optimum efficiency levels.
  8. Understands and operates at quality standards.
  9. Knows, understands, and performs maintenance on machine.
  10. Identifies, troubleshoots, and executes corrective action during production.
  11. Develops and executes ideas for improvement to continually increase performance and quality of output.
  12. Consistently maintains organization of dies and make ready supplies.
  13. Leads, directs, and trains machine helpers.

 

Non-Essential Functions:

  1. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Experience/Qualifications:

  1. College degree or equivalent is preferred.  
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience with make ready, running, and maintaining foil stamper.
  3. Possess basic computer skills including email and word processing.
  4. Ability to operate and understand a calculator.
  5. Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
  6. Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Cognitive/Physical Requirements:

  1. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 
  2. Ability to read and understand job tickets.
  3. Ability to read and understand tape measure.
  4. Possess mechanical aptitude
  5. Ability to identify and differentiate foil types.
  6. Ability to identify and correct problems on machine/substrates.
  7. Possess above average organizational skills.
  8. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Effective leadership skills.
  10. Know and understand machine safety guidelines.
  11. Must possess creative problem solving skills
  12. Maintain a positive work environment including respectful communication with peers and clients
  13. Must be able to maintain good attendance
