This position requires proficiency in sheet metal design, drafting, and utilizing various design software such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies for finishing systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet functional requirements and project goals.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to create 2D and 3D models of product designs.
- Apply design principles to optimize aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability of products.
- Manage design projects from concept through to production.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Proficiency in sheet metal design and drafting.
- Strong command of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for creating detailed designs and drawings.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
**Desired Skills:**
- Familiarity with Revit and Navisworks software.
- Experience in design automation processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in finishing systems design.
**Education and Experience:**
- Previous experience in industrial design, particularly in the finishing systems industry, is preferred but not required.
- Certification or training in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and other relevant software applications.
