Our team is currently seeking a motivated Design Engineering Intern to join our dynamic engineering department. This role is ideal for a student eager to apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Design Engineering Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team with a variety of tasks and projects. Your main projects/responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting a mass update of glass drawings to change material specifications, ensuring all products meet the new standards.
  • Performing miscellaneous drawing updates as per fabrication and vendor requests, maintaining the accuracy and relevance of our engineering documents.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting production and customer issues, providing support to find efficient and effective solutions.
  • Helping in setting up and running engineering tests under guidance, contributing to the development and improvement of our products.
  • Undertaking various mass print and model updates to keep our documentation and designs current and optimized.
  • Setting up parts in PDM (Product Data Management), our file storage program, to ensure organized and accessible engineering data.
  • Setting up parts and attributes in IFS (Industrial and Financial Systems), aiding in the smooth operation of our production and supply chain processes.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • A strong foundation in engineering principles and design processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with PDM and IFS systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
