MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work independently and in a team environment to analyze requirements from customers and develop design solutions
- Perform engineering design evaluations and present findings to leadership and customers
- Produce engineering drawings and bills of material (BOM) to comply with sales order requirements
- Perform dimensional fit tolerance analysis and functional analysis, which includes form, fit and function
- Produce other required design documentation as required
- Evaluate designs for cost and manufacturability
- Optimizing designs to minimize cost and schedule impacts
- Assist Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing in resolving design (basic to moderate level of complexity), drawing, bill of material and technical issues
- Assist in the resolution of shop floor or vendor manufacturing problems
- Full working knowledge of all engineering processes; workflows, engineering software, tools, and basic product knowledge
- Review peer drawings and BOMs to ensure drawings meet customer requirements and provide feedback as necessary
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 6+ years of experience of directly-related experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience designing progressive cavity pumps or rotating equipment
- Working knowledge of MIP operating systems (Team Center and PDM Vault) and procedures is essential
- Experience using SolidWorks (Preferred) or equivalent
