Job Overview:

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support the Engineering Department in the design and development of custom industrial wet process equipment and machinery. This role is responsible for machine design, systems integration, product research and development, engineering documentation, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

The Design Engineer will work closely with the Engineering Manager, customers, vendors, purchasing, and manufacturing teams throughout the full design and build process. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys developing innovative, practical, and manufacturable custom equipment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom industrial machinery and wet process equipment

  • Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings using SOLIDWORKS

  • Design systems involving pumps, plumbing, and pneumatic components

  • Generate and maintain engineering documentation including:- Bills of Materials (BOMs)

    • Design calculations
    • Component specifications
    • Machine specifications
    • Drawing revisions
  • Support system integration and equipment functionality throughout the build process

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, vendors, and customers

  • Assist with product research, development, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with customer requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • Strong experience designing pumps, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS for 3D modeling and machine design
  • Experience creating fabrication drawings and engineering documentation
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and custom equipment design

  • Experience within industrial equipment, automation, or custom machinery environments
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
