Safely operating the snubbing unit during all snubbing operations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work as needed both scheduled and un-scheduled hours often out of town for extended periods of time
- Rig Hand experience and a recommendation from Supervisor and District Manager for advancement
- Clean driving record, CDL expected but not required
- Ability to understand derrick hand operations and to communicate and work with the crew effectively
Physical Demands: Lift over 50lbs, Stand or walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders up to 104 feet, work at heights of 40-60 feet for an extended period of time
Work Environment: Moderate to extreme cold and heat
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in the rig derrick per the direction of the Supervisor in a safe manner
- Assist in rigging up, operating and rigging down of the rig; and all other tasks as needed
- Understand the operation of MSPSI ancilary equipment
- Communicate any changes/issues with MSPSI equipment with the Supervisor and Operator
- Understand rig operations, including equipment specific for the safety of the derrick hand and the derrick hands roll in safe rig operation
- Complete all assigned tasks in a safer manner
- All duties of a Hand
- Other duties as assigned
- Keep up to date on all training offered by MSPSI
