Summary

The Derivatives Strategist will be responsible for producing high-quality derivatives content derived from our equity research, focus list ideas, and proprietary data. The strategist will play a key role in translating these insights into actionable trade ideas for clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish insightful derivatives content based on internal equity research and market themes.
  • Leverage proprietary data and focus list ideas to identify opportunities in the derivatives space.
  • Collaborate closely with derivatives sales traders, equity sales teams, and clients to communicate and refine trade ideas.
  • Participate in client meetings and marketing efforts to promote derivatives strategies and enhance client engagement.
  • Monitor market developments and adjust trade recommendations accordingly.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of equity and derivatives markets to support idea generation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong background in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in derivatives strategy, equity research, or related sell-side/buy-side roles.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively with both internal teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in using market data platforms and tools such as Bloomberg, Excel, and data analytics software.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to type. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Salary Range

This positions will be salaried and have a variable commission component. Salary range will be based on experience $100-150k base.
