We are looking for a Delivery Driver for our Salt Lake City, UT Location.  

Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm


Delivery Driver Job Summary:

The primary function of the Delivery Driver is to assist in the transfer of parts to/from KWS locations and vendors/customers.

**Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales is a drug-free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening.

Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities: 

    1. Pick-up and deliver parts from local suppliers and deliver to appropriate KWS  locations.
    2. Pick and verify all parts being delivered to other Kenworth Sales locations and pick up and verify all parts being returned to a different KWS location.
    3. After hour deliveries will require dis-arming and arming alarm system and securing the site when arriving and leaving.
    4. Deliver cores to Parts Department ensuring they are appropriately tagged and boxed.
    5. Pick and prepare orders throughout the day as needed.
    6. Assist in housekeeping and stocking parts
    7. Drive company vehicles in a safe manner and obey all traffic laws.
    8. Have truck serviced and washed as needed.
    9. Operating warehouse forklifts to load/unload delivery trucks.
    10. Participate in an annual fiscal inventory.
 

Delivery Driver Qualifications:

Able to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Desire to learn all phases of business for possible promotion.
Experience in Shipping: knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills.
Packaging Skills: knowledge of how material should be packed to reach its destination economically and without damage.
Excellent organization and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate warehouse forklift and complete formal training program.
Experience in Customer Service and Delivery.
DOT card and bumper pull/ fifth wheel trailer experience preferred. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk in a warehouse sitting doing paperwork, telephoning, filing, and ten-key. For part of the shift, employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting of up to 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis, as well as heavier loads with forklifts and/or additional assistance will be required. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
