Meats by Linz is accepting applications for full-time Delivery Drivers.

We are looking for motivated, passionate and hardworking individuals to join our company as a delivery driver in the Chicago Land

The Delivery Driver must have a professional appearance, be organized, courteous to our customers and conduct in a professional manner

Compensation:

Payrate will be discussed at the Interview.

Job Description:

Day shift position

This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 100 lbs.

Full-time Drivers work eight or more hours per day, 5 days a week. Workdays can vary depending on the company needs. This specific position will cover the shift that runs Tuesday – Saturday.

Drivers are required to maintain clear and constant communication with Central Dispatch throughout the shift to report updates, incidents, clarifications, or any other information that needs to be shared.

Obey traffic laws and follow organization’s transportation procedures.

Ensure packages are delivered and entered accurately.

Operates vehicle and optimizes the delivery route considering priorities and traffic patterns. Operates and drives vehicles for pick-up and delivery of various goods in a polite, resourceful, professional, safe and secure manner.

Provide excellent customer service while delivering over established routes. Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition.

All drivers will be responsible for their equipment. From the pre-check on their truck to the hand dolly that are assigned to them.  They are expected to deliver the product and handle any issues with the customer to the best of their ability and relay any unresolved issues to their supervisor or the customer salesperson.  Get customer signatures and hand in signed copies of the customer invoices.

Be Presentable and Civil at all times to maintain intact the good image of the company.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Eligible to work in the US

Must have knowledge of the DOT Regulations and the routes in the Chicago Land and Suburbs Area. 

A DOT physical exam is required.

Qualified applicants must have a valid CDL (A / B / C) with a Safe Driving Record.

Must pass a supervised road test.

Must be capable of carrying and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. and be capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.

Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Previous customer service and/or delivery experience is preferred.

Must have excellent customer service, communication and driving skills.

Drivers are expected to comply with MBL appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.

Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to handle a variety of responsibilities.

Must be reliable and dependable.

Must have a consistently positive attitude and be able to work well with customers and other employees.
