TekPro is partnering with an established precision manufacturing company in Downers Grove, IL, seeking an experienced Deburr Technician to join its 2nd shift team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precision deburring, edge finishing, and surface preparation on machined metal components.

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections using hand tools, rotary tools, files, grinders, and other finishing equipment.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet dimensional, cosmetic, and quality requirements.

• Work with tight-tolerance machined parts while maintaining critical features and surface finishes.

• Identify and report defects, damaged components, or quality concerns.

• Collaborate with machinists, inspectors, and production personnel to maintain workflow.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in deburring, metal finishing, precision machining, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.

• Experience working with precision-machined metal components.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic GD&T preferred.

• Familiarity with deburring tools, grinders, files, and precision finishing equipment.

• Comfortable performing detailed, repetitive work while maintaining consistent quality.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
