Overview
AMI Precision Machining is hiring a Deburr Technician to finish tight-tolerance aerospace components at our Pomona facility. You'll remove burrs, break and blend edges, finish surfaces, and inspect completed parts against blueprints and specifications.
Hands-on experience with deburring, grinding, polishing, metal finishing, or precision machining is preferred. Aerospace experience is helpful but not required. You should be able to read basic blueprints and work carefully with small tolerances. Familiarity with AS9100 is preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform deburring operations on aerospace components using various hand tools and machinery.
- Inspect parts for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to address any issues or discrepancies.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in aerospace manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience in deburring or similar manufacturing processes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
