Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Debug Technician located in Salt Lake City.

Reporting to the Repair Center Supervisor, the Debug Technician role involves…

What a typical day looks like:

  • Troubleshoots and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
  • Operates electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conducts special tests as required.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
  • Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
  • Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams.
  • Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications, and other history documents.
  • Help monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates.
  • Assists with the installation, debugging, and validation of process equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA.
  • Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide with other employees.
  • Highly skilled with the ability to move between projects.
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of functional techniques and has input to process improvement.
  • New technologies and technological changes apply.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
