DAUBER MACHINE OPERATOR- A lot of squatting and sitting on a low to the floor chair to retrieve product to inspect regularly.

Lifting and moving heavy boxes is a requirement. Training may need to take place on 1st shift if necessary.

                                                                           POSITION SUMMARY          2nd shift 2:15pm-10:15pm

The dauber machine operator is responsible for running machines in the department, and for overall quality of the daubers.  Sitting on chairs close to the floor to check quality. Must be able to read a ruler.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for machine operation. 
  • Using a steel rule, measure daubers to ensure they are within specifications. Measuring to 1/16". 
  • Make boxes as needed. 
  • Responsible for overall quality of poly, cotton or wool head, wire, and feet, using gauges as required. 
  • Check weights of full boxes and place boxes onto skids. 
  • Sharpen machine blades as needed and only if properly trained to do so.
  • Verify label information and match it with product inside box. 
  • Responsible for sweeping, and overall department cleanliness. 
  • Notify mechanic if machine issues arise. 
  • Other misc. duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience:

6 months+ related experience in Manufacturing.
