** $36-$55/hr. based on experience and project requirements. 

**Schedule:

** 50-60+ hours per week. Overtime may be available based on project needs.

**Assignment Type:

** W2 contract, project-based assignment, or contract-to-hire depending on client/project.

We recruit skilled trades and technical professionals for large-scale data center construction projects involving electrical systems, power distribution, fiber, structured cabling, low voltage, HVAC, controls, commissioning, and critical facility infrastructure. 

**Role Summary

**

Pacer Data Center Solutions is hiring Data Center Controls Technicians to support installation, startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning of building automation and control systems in mission-critical data center environments. Controls systems help monitor and manage cooling, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and facility infrastructure.

This role may support BAS/BMS wiring, device installation, sensors, actuators, control panels, HVAC controls, PLC support, point-to-point checkout, functional testing, and commissioning activities.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Install and support BAS/BMS control devices, panels, sensors, and wiring

  • Perform point-to-point checkout and basic troubleshooting

  • Support HVAC controls, mechanical systems, and electrical control circuits

  • Assist with startup, calibration, and functional testing

  • Read controls drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequence documentation

  • Support commissioning teams during system validation

  • Document deficiencies, test results, and punch-list items

  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and client teams

**Required Experience

**

  • Controls, BAS, BMS, HVAC controls, automation, or electrical troubleshooting experience

  • Familiarity with sensors, actuators, panels, control wiring, and field devices

  • Ability to read controls drawings or wiring diagrams

  • Data center, hospital, manufacturing, or mission-critical experience preferred

  • OSHA, lift, manufacturer, or controls certifications preferred

  • Ability to pass client onboarding requirements, which may include background check, drug screen, and site badging

**Preferred Experience

**

  • Experience with Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Tridium, or similar BAS/BMS platforms

  • Commissioning, startup, point-to-point, or functional testing experience

**Work Environment and Physical Requirements

**

  • Active data center construction, mission-critical facility, industrial, or technical infrastructure environment

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in active construction or facility environments

  • May require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials, tools, equipment, ladders, cable, components, or job-site materials; specific lifting requirements vary by role and assignment

  • May require bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, climbing stairs or ladders, and working from scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other approved lift equipment when authorized

  • May require working around active construction activities, moving equipment, elevated work areas, noise, dust, temperature changes, and other job-site conditions

  • May require use of PPE, tools, and site-specific safety equipment

  • May require overtime, weekends, nights, or rotating schedules depending on project needs
