Cybersecurity Vulnerability ResearcherPOSITION IS CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD
KBR is looking for a highly qualified Cybersecurity Vulnerability Researcher to be part of a fast-paced dynamic team in support of a NAWCAD program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have the experience to work with small teams and interface with customers and senior managers. Responsible for investigating cyber events or crimes related to information technology (IT) systems, networks, and digital evidence. Collects, processes, preserves, analyzes, and presents digital-related evidence to support network vulnerability mitigation and/or civil, workplace, counterintelligence, or law enforcement (e.g., criminal, fraud) investigations.
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Forensics or related field from an accredited college or university
OR
TRAINING
NEC 742A Network Security Vulnerability Technician
NEC H10A Basic Cyber Analyst/Operator
OR
DOD 8570 CERTIFICATION
Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM)
AND
5 years of relevant experience
OR
ON THE JOB TRAINING
NAVEDTRA 43350 (Malware); with privileged access- NAVEDTRA 43469 Watch station 303
Information Assurance Technician Level III.
** Additional Specialized Experience: A minimum of five (5) additional years of experience related to performing the functions BELOW in a DoD/Other Government Agency platform/weapons systems or DoD/Other Government Agency IT infrastructure environment.”
Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors.
Conduct research into cyber threats, adversarial offensive and defensive tools, techniques, and methods, and mitigation solutions.
Develops solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software with a focus on system security and vulnerability.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 6 years is required.
** Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of investigative implications of hardware, Operating Systems, and network technologies.
Knowledge of data carving tools and techniques (e.g., Foremost).
Knowledge of anti-forensics tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Knowledge of concepts and practices of processing digital forensic data.
