Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is looking for Cyber Security Engineers to join the team in Information Assurance supporting the development/maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities in Aurora, Colorado.

The Cyber Engineer will collaborate with other team members to support and implement approaches to fully integrate cyber operations within the mission. These individuals will function as experienced Cyber Engineers and will support systems as an individual contributors. The ideal candidates will have a strong cyber background with experience and familiarity with full spectrum cyber operations from a mission execution perspective and should be knowledgeable about attack strategies from a cyber-perspective and defensive counter operations. These candidates should have experience with varying network and computer platforms, preferably with some background in cyber operations with respect to embedded platforms.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Cyber or related field
• Experience with IBM QRadar and the ability to implement, troubleshoot and adapt the product.
• Experience with BigFix, Nessus, F5 is also key for this position
• Must be capable of multitasking and efficiently managing your time in a dynamic environment while requiring minimal levels of supervision
• Good understanding of security design and architecture with ability to incorporate solutions to compliance and security problems
• Demonstrated experience with scanning and vulnerability assessment/remediation
• Experience performing and executing Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities, and development of supporting documentation
• Experienced with patch/configuration deployments across platforms
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Able to Obtain a US DOD Secret or Higher-level security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, HW and SW life-cycle management, & engineering change proposal processes
• COTS and FOSS patch management/deployment experience
• Ability to establish tasks and objectives with Lead Engineers and ensure the entire team understands and can work towards the vision and objectives

• Previous experience in Verification, Validation and Accreditation

• Industry Certification: Security + or higher
• Experience in proactively analyzing and resolving problems relating to operational considerations, engineering drawings and associated hardware in relation to repair activities
• Hands-on technical experience as an individual contributor with documented skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Linux system administration
  • Windows system administration
  • VMware administration
  • Operating system hardening

Required Education:

BA/BS degree ; STEM preferred
