Customer Service Specialist

Pay Rate:$16.00/hour
Shift:Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to provide exceptional service to taxpayers in our Murrysville and Penn Hills tax offices. This role serves as the first point of contact for taxpayers, assisting with account and tax-related inquiries while supporting daily office operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist walk-in taxpayers with account and tax-related questions.
Utilize knowledge of various tax types and related processes.
Perform administrative tasks, including address changes and new account creation.
Process payments accurately for multiple tax types.
Maintain detailed and thorough documentation in taxpayer service applications.
Serve as an office key holder and assist with daily office operations.
Complete end-of-day responsibilities, including FedEx drop-offs for payments and important documents.
Secondary Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to retain information.
Complete detailed tasks accurately and efficiently.
Adapt to changes in daily responsibilities and operational processes.
Qualifications
Previous call center experience preferred.
Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple applications and tabs.
Ability to learn new software and applications.
Demonstrated research and problem-solving skills.
Spanish fluency is a plus.
Requirements
Must obtain Child Abuse Clearances.
Must pass a Pennsylvania State Background Check.
Training will be conducted at office locations in North Huntingdon and Irwin, PA 15642.
