We at Kidde Deugra Brandschutzsysteme GmbH, based in Ratingen near Düsseldorf, have the mission as part of Collins Aerospace to protect human lives through innovative fire protection and fire suppression systems. Our company designs and manufactures automatic smoke detectors, fire alarm and extinguishing systems for a wide range of military and civilian vehicles.

The Role:

Contribute to Collins Customer and Quality Excellence by acting as a focal point for all quality questions across a program’s lifecycle! In this role you will work with a high degree of autonomy on a broad range of interesting, complex, and varied questions, driving solutions and improvements in close cooperation with Collins Program Management, Engineering, Production, and Procurement functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Focal point for all quality questions across program life cycle

  • Project management of customer-relevant quality assurance activities

  • Ensure implementation of applicable quality requirements from RTX, Collins, customers and regulatory standards for products, processes and systems

  • Internal and external coordination in case of quality deviations and non-conformities, and drive RCCA and problem resolution

  • Prepare, review and release product & process quality (assurance) documents and reports

  • Support internal and external audits

  • Advance quality compliance and improvement

  • Support product and production process changes, work transfers and Continuous Improvement initiatives (LEAN/CORE)

Qualification:

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in an advanced technical discipline or several years of equivalent professional experience, ideally in the defense sector

  • Deep understanding of quality processes and best practices

  • Very good (business fluent) written and spoken English and German language skills

  • Good MS Office skills, experience with Navision is an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills with a high degree of persuasiveness, assertiveness, and persistence

  • Ability to deal with complex and difficult situations

  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working in an international environment

  • Willingness to travel (about 10%)

  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team
