Job Summary:

A fabricator, or assembler, uses tools and machinery to transform raw materials into finished products or components, often working with metal, following blueprints and specifications to ensure quality and precision.

 

Job Description:

  • Understand technical drawings and schematics to determine the dimensions, materials, and fabrication methods required for a project.
  • Use a variety of tools and machinery, including saws, drill presses, grinders, welders, and other fabrication equipment, to cut, shape, and join materials.
  • Cut, bend, form, and weld metal or other materials to create components or structures according to specifications.
  • Ensuring that the finished products meet quality standards and specifications, often performing quality control checks.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during the fabrication process and find solutions to ensure projects are completed successfully.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures when operating machinery and working with materials.
  • Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with engineers, and other workers.
  • Involved in the assembly and installation of fabricated components

Competencies:

  • Strong technical skills in reading blueprints, operating machinery, and performing fabrication tasks.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems that arise during fabrication.
  • Attention to detail is a plus.
  • Brazing/welding abilities are a plus, but not required.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Willing to comply with all OSHA safety standards
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiar with all necessary safety equipment
  • Physically capable of working in demanding conditions
  • Able to sit, stand, bend, and lift to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Reliable, hardworking, and have a team player mentality

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year as a Fabricator/Assembler.
