Job Overview:
Position Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-craft workforce engaged in daily maintenance activities as to provide a seamless support activity to the production units.
- Coaching and mentoring of direct reports to maintain a cohesive team focused on departmental, plant, and corporate goals.
- Provides technical expertise in resolving day-to-day complex equipment problems while assisting craftsmen to logically resolve issues.
- Establish concepts and perform observations and coaching to ensure that execution of planned work is cost-effective and efficient
- Analyze maintenance schedules and execution of the work to minimize errors or delays
- Prepares daily/weekly assignments and administers discipline of direct reports as needed.
Position Requirements
- Technically competent individual with expertise and experience in at least one maintenance craft field
- Minimum of six (6) years of craft experience and three (3) years of technical support experience or an equivalent combination
- Experience with mechanical and electrical systems is required, with knowledge about the amount of time required for different scopes of repair on industrial equipment.
- Experience in a unionized environment desired
- Ability to build and sustain good working relationships and work effectively in a team environment
- Must be achievement motivated and have a high energy level
- Must have effective planning and organizational skills and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
- Excellent computer skills
