Position Summary
The Credits Associate inspects, verifies, restocks, and processes customer-returned materials accurately and efficiently. This position works closely with customers, sales, customer service, warehouse teams, and the Returns Administrator to ensure returns and credits are processed promptly while maintaining inventory accuracy and delivering excellent customer experience.
Typical Responsibilities
- Provide a positive customer experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Inspect, verify, restock, and process customer-returned materials.
- Create and invoice customer credits accurately and promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and help prevent inventory discrepancies.
- Use RF scanning, barcode labeling equipment, and receiving documents to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Learn and navigate the warehouse and yard layout, bin-location system, and Etna’s product inventory.
- Work with sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers, and the Returns Administrator to ensure returned materials are processed promptly.
- Collaborate daily with the Returns Administrator to coordinate the return of nonstock and defective materials to vendors.
- Maintain the Return Goods Queue according to company standards.
- Assist the receiving, shipping, and yard departments as needed.
- Support the general upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse and yard.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform all work safely and with consistent alertness.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

- Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills, with or without a calculator.
- Knowledge of plumbing or waterworks products is preferred.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in the plumbing or waterworks industry; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications and Employment Requirements
- Ability to pass the required operator examination and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
- Must successfully complete a substance abuse screening.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

- Vision requirements include near and distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.
- Work is performed primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work and possible exposure to extreme weather.
- The noise level is typically moderate.
