This role is NOT about writing peer-reviewed, scientific publications. This role IS about taking technical, scientific information and turning it into engaging, accessible content for diverse audiences. You need to be a scientific and brand storyteller. You’ll write blogs, factsheets, presentations, financial/investor materials, web and social media content and more, for internal and external audiences. As a resource within the Global Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations team, you’ll be helping partners understand and leverage our science and milestones. Working with partners across the business, your goals will be to inform, engage and help grow our audiences.
Being a clear and creative writer is vital. Understanding vaccine science and We want the world to know what Novavax is doing and why it matters. A life science background is required (graduate-level degree in life sciences; experience with vaccines is a plus), with an ability to develop a deep understanding of our diverse discovery, pre-clinical, clinical and commercial work. To be an effective champion of our global efforts, you will proactively draw ideas from our peer-reviewed publications, presentations, topics in the news, corporate milestones and more.
Collaboration and drive are keys to success in this role. You’ll develop and implement an editorial calendar that effectively represents diverse aspects of our company, our international team and the promise of our transformative technology. Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to ask questions are both vital.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director, R&D Communications. Local candidates are preferred but this role can be remote.
