Crate Builder – Manufacturing / Woodworking

Location: Westchase, FL (33626)

Pay:$18–$25/hr, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PMNo overtime

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Crate Builder to construct wooden crates and packaging structures used for shipping and protecting products. This role requires basic woodworking skills, the ability to read **simple drawings

**, and comfort using hand and power tools. Attention to detail and safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Build wooden crates, pallets, and custom packaging

• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber according to specifications

• Read and follow **shop drawings

  ** or work orders

• Use saws, nail guns, drills, and other woodworking tools

• Inspect finished crates for accuracy and durability

• Safely band, brace, and secure materials for shipment

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• Assist with general warehouse or fabrication tasks as needed

Requirements

• Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or crate building

• Ability to read measurements and basic drawings

• Skilled with hand tools and power tools

• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, shipping, or fabrication

• Familiarity with industrial packaging standards

• Ability to operate saws, sanders, and pneumatic tools
