Job Overview:

In depth electrical background, knowing how to troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, high voltage, read prints, go into a cabinet to figure out what is not getting power.

Experience in heavy industry like metal processing, steel, paper mills, oil & gas, chemical, etc.

Comfortable working in heights up to 100 ft in air.37 cranes, 10 ton to 180 ton. They are contact and job cranes, range from 40 ft to 105ft in height. 70% Reactive and 30% planned PMs. Electrical troubleshooting

Typical PM include:

Checking gearboxes, replacing rewiring

Visual inspection of crane and hoist

Test hoist up/down, bridge and trolley travel

Check emergency stops and controls

Test upper/lower limit switches

Check brakes for proper operation

Inspect hook, latch and load block

Look for abnormal noises, vibration, oil leaks or overheating

Inspect and lubricate bearings, gears, sheaves and other lubrication points

Inspect wire rope for broken wires, corrosion, kinking and wear

Inspect hooks for cracks, deformation and throat opening

Check brake components and adjustment

Inspect wheels, axles, bearings and drive components

Inspect electrical panels, contactors, collectors and connections

Check limit switches and control components
