About the Role:
Trimble is seeking an experienced Contracts Counsel - Returnship with experience with commercial and technology transactions to support various high-growth and multinational business areas. The position will report to Corporate Counsel.
What You Will Do:
Provide general legal support for commercial transactions, working closely with business leadership and other stakeholders (e.g., finance, revenue recognition, compliance, risk management, etc.)
Draft and negotiate a variety of domestic and international transactional contracts (e.g., software/SaaS, hosting, distribution, vendor, data, professional services, NDAs, etc.)
Assist with the development of strategies, programs, policies, and processes designed to help reduce and/or manage legal risk
Provide legal counsel on issues facing Trimble, as assigned.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders and functions
Excellent business acumen, with the ability to balance risk and reward and to make difficult decisions in challenging situations
Minimum 5 years of experience with a legal practice focused on a technology-based industry. Experience working both in house and in law firms is a plus
Knowledge or experience working with sales, software/SaaS, and complex technology and commercial transactions, but will also have a well-rounded set of legal skills
Experience with data privacy issues and international business transactions is a plus
Able to be flexible and creative in dealing with novel and/or complex legal issues, and to provide practical and business-oriented legal advice
Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school, and membership in one or more state bars, including preferably California or Colorado.

Salary: $92,000.00 USD

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
