EHC is looking for a Cost Estimator for a Client in the Houston Area

The Opportunity

The Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for offshore wind projects, including subsea rock installation and other related marine construction scopes. This role involves reviewing and summarizing project plans and specifications prior to tender submission, as well as presenting project details and cost estimates during management review sessions. The position reports to the Estimating Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for offshore wind projects, including subsea rock installation and related marine construction activities.
• Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Review and summarize project plans, specifications, and tender documents.
• Develop clear and concise estimate summaries and presentation materials.
• Present project scopes and cost estimates during management tender review sessions.
• Collaborate closely with Commercial, Project Management, Production, and Procurement teams to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Provide estimating support to project teams during project execution.
• Work with Project Management and Accounting teams to update project budgets and ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
• Consistently meet project and tender deadlines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in cost estimating for offshore wind, marine construction, dredging, or related industries preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
