Job Overview:

Duties

  • Perform cost and inventory accounting activities, including monthly closings and maintenance of standard costs.

  • Manage physical inventory and cycle-count programs, including inventory valuation and obsolescence reviews.

  • Support quarterly and annual audits conducted by bank and financial auditors.

  • Conduct weekly audits of finished goods and subassembly materials remaining in inventory.

  • Review all laminating job bags and ensure all materials are properly allocated.

  • Ensure all material costs are properly issued and flow correctly through the production process and work-in-process (WIP) inventory.

  • Review and close all manufacturing jobs after production is completed.

  • Lead weekly waste meetings regarding production and the implementation of waste-reduction strategies.

  • Calculate and oversee production key performance indicators (KPIs) used for the incentive plan.

  • Audit all incoming raw-material shipments and match them to supporting purchase-order documentation.

  • Process billing and accounts payable invoices.

  • Manage return-to-vendor (RTV) materials and related inventory adjustments.

  • Organize and file all job bags and sheeting paperwork.

  • Complete and maintain responsibility for all inventory adjustments.

  • Calculate the total cost of goods sold (COGS) balance each month and match expenses with revenue.

  • Maintain the WIP value for the trial balance.

  • Reconcile inventory stock status to the trial balance as part of the month-end close.

  • Prepare and submit the month-end gross-profit report.

  • Complete miscellaneous accounting projects as assigned.

  • Manage customer-supplied inventory and usage for each receipt and order.

  • Prepare the daily shipping and receiving manifest.

  • Support the month-end close schedule and balance-sheet analysis.

  • Perform consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
