Are you an experienced controls engineer with a passion for process automation and electrical design? We’re looking for a  Corporate Controls Engineer to join our team and serve as a key expert in programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems within our dynamic environment.

 

About the Role

As the Corporate Controls Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Process Automation to develop and implement control system strategies, enhance manufacturing processes, and support operations across multiple locations. This position involves hands-on work with PLC programming, control network architecture, and process control strategies, with about 30-40% travel to various company sites.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Execute Projects: Define, develop, and manage capital controls projects from concept through implementation, meeting scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate and Support: Partner with plant operations and corporate teams to design and implement control solutions for manufacturing process upgrades.
  • Enhance Processes: Drive improvements in safety, efficiency, capacity, and quality of our chemical process operations.
  • Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and corporate standards for instrumentation, control network architecture, and automation best practices.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering (Computer Science degrees not considered)
  • Experience: 3-5+ years in the chemical or process industry managing electrical and control projects, including batch processing and supporting manufacturing control systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in FactoryTalk View SE & ME, SQL, data historian databases, and AutoCAD.
  • Travel: Willing to travel approximately 30-40% for project needs and site support.
