JOB SUMMARY:
The Corporate Communications and Events Intern supports the Corporate Communications, Events, and Hospitality teams in brand governance, marketing, content creation and retail operations. Communicating and creating content that reenforces Midmark’s brand and culture with teammates, customers and the community, and drives revenue to Renaissance Corporation’s house of brands (Hotel Versailles, Stillwater Valley Golf Club, Riverwatch and Sycamore Bridge Farms).
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Creates branded content using creative and copywriting skills for Midmark and Renaissance brands, including marketing materials, advertisements, social media and employee engagement platform (Workvivo) content, newsletters, facilities posters, video series content, etc.
- Oversees The Midmark Store retail storefront hours and fulfills online orders one to two days a week.
- Creates branded content using creative and copywriting skills for Midmark and Renaissance brands, including print materials, advertising, social media content, email marketing, press releases and more.
- Organizes and maintains brand resources for Midmark and Renaissance brands including branding policies, logo assets and templates to ensure they are current and accessible by necessary users.
- Responsible for the execution of marketing and communications for Midmark and Renaissance brands which includes paid and unpaid media (advertising/sponsorships, public relations and social media).
- For Midmark and Renaissance brands, acts as the primary liaison with brand, marketing and vendor partners which includes media and advertising publications as well as brand merchandise vendors.
- Assists in planning and executing external brand communications strategies through marketing, brand governance, content creation and project management.
- Monitors social media and Workvivo to address comments that require attention and response.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
- Leads video project management for Midmark and Renaissance brands, includes storyboarding, scheduling, sometimes filming, editing and deployment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Communications or Marketing with internship experience in a publications relations, media relations or corporate communications.
COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:
- Proficiency in interpreting and communicating visual design language to convey brand consistencies and can create templates with whatever application is needed.
- Develops and sustains cooperative working relationships with teammates, customers, partners, media and public.
- Brainstorms creative ideas to enhance brand efforts.
- Strategic thinker and extremely detail-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Completes multiple projects on deadlines.
- Works within designated bounds of confidentiality as trusted partner to the executive team.
- Proficiency with basic computer applictions (Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.).
