About the Role
Are you an experienced Controls Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with automated systems? Join a team where your expertise will directly support the performance, reliability, and efficiency of state-of-the-art automation and material handling equipment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving PLC-driven systems, supporting preventative maintenance efforts, and responding to equipment issues to keep operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-based control systems and automation equipment.
- Maintain and support Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy management systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on controls and electrical systems.
- Support conveyors, sortation systems, and other material handling equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Assist with electrical and controls installations and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory.
- Partner with engineering teams and equipment vendors to improve system performance.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC controls.
- Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with 3-phase power systems up to 480V.
- Familiarity with Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and electrical safety practices.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC platforms including MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, and SLC 500.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality work.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens Step 7, WAGO I/O, CAN networks, or B&R X67 systems.
- Background supporting automated warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
