Job Description/Responsibilities
Join our team as a Controls Technician, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving plant-wide electrical and control systems. You’ll work hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, DCS, instrumentation, and VFDs to keep production running efficiently and safely.
Schedule:Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm, with overtime as needed on Friday. This is a fully onsite position.
What You’ll Do & Bring
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and control systems across the plant
- Support installation, programming, and optimization of new and existing equipment
- Diagnose issues quickly to minimize downtime and ensure product quality
- Lead and support controls-related projects from design through implementation
- Train and mentor technicians on troubleshooting and best practices
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Apply strong experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems
- Use solid troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, NEC, etc.)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve technical challenges and improve operations
Qualifications/Requirements
MUST
- Associate's degree in applied sciences or equivalent experience
- 3 + years hands on electrical experience, Allen Bradley PLC programming, hardware experience, and equipment trouble shooting experience
PREFERRED
- Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
- Rockwell Automation controls training
Physical Requirements
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
- In-person job attendance and punctuality are required
