Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Technician with a minimum of 3 years of industrial controls experience to support production equipment, electrical systems, and automation in a manufacturing environment. Engineering candidates with hands-on controls experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Troubleshoot and support Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and MCCs.

• Perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting involving motors, drives, power distribution, and control systems.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot flow, level, temperature, and pressure instrumentation.

• Independently connect to PLCs via laptop/Ethernet, identify faults, troubleshoot equipment failures, and determine root causes.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and wiring diagrams.

• Perform basic PLC programming and logic adjustments as needed.

• Utilize CMMS for preventive maintenance, work orders, and maintenance documentation.

• Follow and promote safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, GMPs, and food manufacturing standards.

Role Focus:

This is a highly hands-on position, with approximately 60–70% electrical/field troubleshooting and 30–40% controls programming and adjustments. This is not primarily a software development role.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate has a field service or industrial maintenance background, strong PLC troubleshooting and electrical diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve production equipment issues.
