As a member of the maintenance improvement program reporting to one of our Senior Engineers, the Controls Engineer performs functions to implement a preventive /predictive maintenance program which will maximize site equipment reliability and develop strategies and methods that improve site preventive/predictive maintenance.
This program is in its infancy and will require ground up population of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by: (60%)
Works and collaborates with various departments to develop and maintain specific targets, strategies and tactics to maximize equipment availability to drive asset productivity improvement by: (20%)
Work closely with maintenance and/or production personnel to resolve chronic equipment related issues by appropriately using reliability tools such as: (20%)

Decision Making: The Controls Engineer uses professional judgment and accepted best practices to populate a computer maintenance management system with equipment, preventive maintenance procedures and bill of materials in the first step of establishing a reliability centered maintenance program.
Supervisory/Lead Responsibilities: Works with Maintenance Engineers ,Maintenance Leads , Maintenance Technicians and Planners to develop a planned preventive/predictive maintenance program.
Scope of Position: The Reliability Engineer is responsible for populating the CMMS with bill of materials, preventive maintenance procedures and frequencies which provides the foundation for the maintenance reliability program. As this foundation is established the job will evolve into a leadership and trainer role for planned and preventive maintenance programs in our facilities. The position as offered is based in Texas but will require travel to establish the program in other Company facilities as required.
