Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Controls Engineer - Automation Systems to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for various automation projects.
- Program and implement control systems using PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, vision systems, and mobile robots (both traditional and autonomous).
- Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
- Provide field engineering support for system retrofits and upgrades.
- Support project teams and customers during design reviews, installations, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Travel to customer sites for system start-up and troubleshooting support.
- Periods of time may require up to 15% overnight travel.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in controls engineering and automation systems design.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
