**Controls Engineer **
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all technical activities related to paint system PLC equipment, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for hardware revisions, software updates, ladder logic, system documentation, and associated interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to ensure all electrical systems, PLCs, and robotic equipment operate at optimal performance levels.
- Plan and implement engineering modifications and automation projects involving PLCs and robotics, ensuring compliance with all applicable local and state regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Manage assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and objectives are met.
- Provide electrical engineering support across current operations and future system implementations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience with Allen-Bradley or comparable PLC systems, including hardware, software, and ladder logic programming.
- Hands-on experience with robotic systems and their integration interfaces.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
- Proficiency in PC-based tools and applications.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Candidates currently pursuing a relevant degree with applicable work experience will also be considered.
