One of our automotive clients is looking for a Controls Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI.
**Pay **- $70K- $80K
**Shift - **1st shift
Responsibilities:
Support the design and implementation of automation systems for injection molding and secondary operations.
Integrate robotics, vision systems, material handling, and automated inspection equipment.
Support equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvement projects.
Assist with PLC, HMI, robot, and vision system programming and troubleshooting.
Support equipment commissioning, testing, and startup.
Maintain technical documentation, drawings, and system records.
Apply injection molding knowledge to identify process and manufacturing improvements.
Support mold trials, process development, and production launches.
Troubleshoot molding and automation issues with Operations and Maintenance teams.
Recommend improvements to quality, cycle time, and equipment performance.
Support validation of process changes and equipment modifications.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, automation, controls, or a related field.
Strong experience with injection molding and manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting automation projects in a production environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or a related technical field.
Equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience with ABB or FANUC robotics.
Experience with RJG process monitoring systems.
