NSI Engineering, a leading System Integrator, is actively seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer with hands-on experience in SCADA solutionsand PLC/HMI systems – mainly Rockwell Allen-Bradley. Experience with Schneider systems is a bonus. MUST have PLC/HMI experience.
This is a role specifically for Controls Engineers. Applicants must be comfortable with a hybrid work setup (remote work from their home office when not on-site).
This is NOT a software engineering position– we are seeking candidates with direct experience in controls, automation, and industrial systems.

About the Role
As a Controls Engineer, you will work directly with SCADA solutions, PLC systems, HMI coordination, and a variety of industrial automation projects (such as airport baggage handling systems and manufacturing processes). The role requires hands-on engineering expertise in PLC upgrades, networking, and control system troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
•Perform PLC hardware/software upgrades (Rockwell Allen-Bradley focus)
•Lead HMI coordination and integration with OEM systems
• Develop and implement SCADA solutions
•Collaborate on mechanical and electrical coordination with various teams
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues in industrial control systems
•Manage networking and controls data across projects
•Act as an NSI representative, communicating with clients, and maintaining professional relationships
Skills & Experience You’ll Bring
•2-3 years of recent experience working with PLC/HMI systems
(Rockwell Allen-Bradley required, Schneider is a plus)
•Expertise in PLC software (Logix5000/Studio5000, ProWorx, Unity)
•Familiarity with HMI packages (AVEVA/Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk, etc.)
•Experience with networking, server setup, and virtualization (Windows Server, VMWare)
•Strong working knowledge of Excel for reporting and analysis
Requirements
•Location (remote): Within an easy commute to DFW airport.
•Authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check (for airport badging)
•Reliable transportation and willingness to travel (15% - 25%)
•Comfortable with air travel and occasional irregular hours (rare but some nights, no regular weekends)
