The group is focused on the data-center and advanced manufacturing space by specializing in E-houses, CDUs, CUBs, White Space, Modular Data Centers, and other modular products for these markets. We offer end-to-end services to develop, design, procure, manufacture, and commission these modular products to meet client requirements. 

Position Value Proposition:

We are seeking an experienced Controls & Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the electrical and control systems design and development of modular data center infrastructure. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering, power distribution, and control systems to oversee the creation of innovative, scalable, and energy-efficient modular data centers. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design excellence, ensure compliance with industry standards, and optimize performance for rapid deployment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical and control systems design for modular data center solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, technical specifications, and design documentation using industry-standard tools.
  • Manage cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and automation engineers, focusing on power distribution and controls integration.
  • Work closely with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality design and manufacturing.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for new designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety codes, and environmental guidelines.
  • Drive innovation in power systems, automation, and energy efficiency to optimize modular data center performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align design requirements with business objectives.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and commissioning of modular data center electrical and control systems before deployment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to department engineers and design staff.

Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:

I. Work Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in data center electrical design, modular construction, or critical infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, load calculations, and control system integration.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute).
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills with the ability to oversee complex design projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges.
  • Experience with prefabricated modular construction methods and supply chain integration.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design principles.

II. Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

III. Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses

  • Certification in Data Center Power & Controls (e.g., CDCDP, ATD, or similar).

IV. Software & Technology

  • Proficiency in power distribution design, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and electrical CAD software.

 

V. Work Environment

 

Work is generally performed in a climate-controlled office area. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time throughout an 8-10 hour day.
