Summary

This position is responsible for supervising accounting personnel including live procurement, yields, payroll, and inventory team members. Job responsibilities include monitoring and controlling expenditures, developing, and implementing internal controls, monitoring for fiscal compliance, evaluating cost effectiveness, generating internal/external reports, analyzing information, and managing customer relations. Specific responsibilities include scale house accounting, yield reporting, payroll accounting, profit & loss reporting, capital and expense project reporting, and month-end general ledger reporting; other duties as required.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience is required, such as an Accounting degree, Controller experience, or Finance role experience in Food Manufacturing.

Experience:
3+ years of related experience required.

Computer Skills:
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office Excel and Word.

Financial Skills:
Strong expense management, strong plant accounting understanding, capital spending, and budgeting.

Communication Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Supervisory:
Supervisory experience preferred, as this position would supervise management support Team Members.

Travel:
Minimal travel. 1-2 trips per year.
